Start Trauma Therapy

A Safe First Step Toward Healing

Reaching out for therapy often comes after a long period of carrying things on your own. You may be used to holding it together on the outside, even while something underneath feels off, heavy, or hard to name. You may feel ready, unsure, or somewhere in between. This page outlines exactly how to begin, what to expect, and how to decide if this work is a fit for you.

If you choose to schedule, your first appointment is a full 50-minute session. We use that time to understand what you are carrying, how your system responds under stress, and whether this work feels aligned for you.

You do not need to tell your entire story or prepare anything in advance. What matters most is whether the space feels safe and respectful enough to begin.

What the First Session Is Like

In the first meeting, we focus on orientation rather than pressure. This includes time to talk about what brings you in, how your system responds under stress, and what kind of support you are looking for now. We also begin to notice patterns in how you relate to yourself and others, especially the places where you tend to override your own needs to stay connected.

We also pay attention to how it feels to be in the room together, because the relationship itself is part of the work.

You can expect a pace that allows you to stay present, without being pushed to disclose more than feels manageable. Many of the women I work with are used to pushing through or minimizing what they feel. This space is different. We slow that down.

There is no expectation to continue if it does not feel aligned after this session.

This is a space where your own sense of yes or no is respected.

Who I Work With

I work with women navigating the impact of attachment trauma, childhood sexual abuse, and relational patterns that continue into adulthood. Much of this traces back to earlier experiences where you were not fully protected or supported, and your system adapted in order to stay connected.

Therapy is available to women who are currently located in the following regions:

California, via telehealth
Florida, via telehealth
Israel, in person and via telehealth

If you live outside these locations, I am not legally able to provide therapy services. I appreciate your understanding.

If You Are Not Ready to Schedule

It is okay to take time. Many people arrive at therapy after months or years of considering it.

If you are still deciding, you can:

  • Review the FAQ page for more detail about how I work

  • Read the blog or watch my YouTube content to get a better sense of my approach

There is no expectation to move faster than your system allows, but clarity often comes from engaging with the material rather than waiting.
